Ty builds out of a shop in the Chicago southland: reclaimed barn wood, walnut slabs he picks out one at a time, and the occasional pavilion in somebody's back yard.
He has a good eye for choosing the right board for each piece. Every slab has its own grain and character, and he likes to let that show. Bring him a design you already have in mind, or give him room to come up with something new.
Ty builds every piece himself, from picking the wood to the last coat of finish. He wants to make the kind of table a family gathers around for years, and he takes real pride in seeing his work in people's homes.
